The SONshine Spots In Life
When I created the Seasons of Life Journal I wanted a section for "SONshine" spots.

Here is what that section of the journal looks like...
These are those moments in life when you know without-a-doubt that God orchestrated the moment or season. The last possible second where He comes rushing in to save the day when you have already given up hope. I have had many of those moments in the past few months where God has opened doors that only He alone could open.
I love reflecting on those moments because let's be honest, we forget how blessed we are! We forget all of the wonderful things He has done for us.
"And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."
Jesus healed ten lepers.
Only one leper turned around to thank God for healing Him.
How often do we forget the prayers God has answered? Or the times He has worked things out at the very last moment?
When I think of SONshine spots I also think about those times when He opens a door for us that only He could open. Maybe it was a new career that He placed in your path or He blessed you with a child at the perfect moment. There have been many times in my life when I have had a sudden lightbulb moment where I realize that God has answered a prayer or orchestrated a situation as only He can. Many times, we forget that we have prayed about something or asked Him to open a certain door for us; then He answers. In that moment He answers; I want to be the one who looks upward and says, "Thank you, Jesus!" I don't want to forget to thank Him for those moments that He pulled me through and the moments that He just blessed me more than I deserve.
Here is a special video to encourage you to be mindful of the SONshine spots in your life!
